SPE International Essay Contest
The essay contest allows middle and high school students the opportunity to win up to $1,500 by submitting an essay on the topic of plastics. This year the Section received 23 entries for the 2005 essay contest. Cash awards were given for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, of $500, $250 and $100, respectively. Each of the winners was also presented with a framed certificate. This program costs our section about $1,000 per year.
